Q. Are utilities included?

A. At Dubin House, all utilities are included.  At the Gesher and Saltzman Houses, you pay for electric, but receive a monthly utility allowance.

Q. What are the income qualifications?

A. At Dubin House and Gesher House, rent is income based and it is 30% of gross income. At Saltzman House, there are rent categories for certain income percentages, with a set rent amount for each percentage. For more detailed information, call us at (856) 667-6826.

Q. Is there any deduction for out-of-pocket medical costs?

A. At Dubin House and Gesher House, a deduction is given off rent for these costs.  At Saltzman House, no deductions are provided.

Q. Do apartments have a shower or a tub?

A. At Dubin House and Saltzman House, apartments feature a traditional tub with shower. At Gesher House, apartments offer a walk-in shower stall.

Q. Are pets allowed?

A. All buildings allow pets. Restrictions on pets include: 1 dog under 25 lbs. or 2 cats or 1 bird

Q. What are the age requirements?

A. All buildings are age restricted. For Dubin House and Gesher House, the head of household must be 62 years of age or older. For Saltzman House, all occupants must be 62 years of age or older.

Q. What are the income limits to qualify for JSHHS housing?

A. At Dubin House and Saltzman House, yearly income amounts cannot exceed $34,260 for a single individual and $39,120 for a couple.  At Gesher House, yearly income amounts cannot exceed $28,400 for a single individual and $32,450 for a couple.
